In January 2002 I traveled to Costa Rica for a one-month intensive training to receive my Interdisciplinary Yoga teacher’s certificate from the Nosara Yoga Institute and have been running classes in the Exeter and area community ever since.
I get great satisfaction seeing my students improve, impassioned, and ‘getting it’. I am passionate about teaching yoga in a manner that is heartfelt by everyone. It is so gratifying to witness the interaction that forms a community among the participants.
Each of the Yoga classes Include postures and movements to reduce stress and tension, increase your flexibility, improve your posture, build muscular strength, increase endurance, and improve your overall fitness. You'll learn breathing techniques, gentle yoga poses, and relaxation methods to help you release physical and mental stress. Modifications are provided to ensure each student's comfort and success.

Our goal is to help our students cultivate these qualities through the practice of yoga. Everyone can do yoga... by performing at the level your body is ready for.

Introductory Class
establishes the foundational awareness behind an enjoyable yoga practice. The student is introduced to an extensive amount of information and postures so you can experience the benefits of yoga and take it home with you for your continued practice. Plenty of verbal guidance, demonstration and explanation is given.
Participants in this four week session will receive take-home information sheets describing each of the of the postures/movements along with the benefits, where your focus needs to be and any contraindications.

Intermediate Yoga:
All the practices of Beginner and several more challenging ones. Time is taken now to hold the postures longer, improving strength, breath and internal focus (body/mind awareness)

Morning Yoga:
A continuous flow of yoga using a mix of Beginner and easy Intermediate level poses and stretches in a relaxed, accepting manner. Students are invited to participate in an easy going, joyful manner with modifications and assistance provided as needed. A great way to start the day!

Senior’s Yoga:
A class suitable for Seniors, the less flexible, and those dealing with extra weight. The class will progress leisurely to accommodate various modifications for all those attending by using chairs, blocks, and different positions. Postures will be in a seated position in chairs and standing positions.
Next Class: to be arranged when the required minimum registration of at least three is established
